The British Government decided to start recognizing the Albanian digital COVID-19 Travel Certificates from October 11.

“If you arrive in England before that date, you must follow the rules for people who are not fully vaccinated. If you arrive after that, you can use a vaccine certificate to prove your vaccination status.”, an announcement on the website of the British government read.

Authorities stressed that you must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to entering the UK, including cases of citizens that have recently recovered from the virus.

Also, citizens inoculated with a single dose, such as Janssen, are considered fully vaccinated.

The UK recognizes only vaccines that are approved by the European Medicines Agency:

  • Oxford/AstraZeneca
  • Pfizer/BioNTech
  • Moderna
  • Janssen
  • AstraZeneca-Covishield
  • AstraZeneca-Vaxzevria
  • Moderna-Takeda

On 15 September, the EU recognized vaccine certificates issued by Albania.
