Albania recorded 475 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, while the official death toll climbed 2,759.

657 citizens recovered over the past 24 hours, taking the overall figure from the beginning of the pandemic to more than 164,520.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that there are around 7,360 active cases across the country, of which a majority in Tirana (3,268 cases).

There are 169 patients receiving specialized medical treatment in hospitals, 20 in a more critical situation.

According to official data, 28.72% of the population has been fully jabbed, well below EU’s average of around 70%.
