The health minister, Ogerta Manastiliu was in Selenica, Vlora when she made a public call to all women, urging them to head to their doctor’s office and conduct screenings and examinations that help in preventing or early detections of breast cancer.

In the framework of the campaign to raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer, Manastirliu asked all family doctors to put together a rigorous list of their female patients who fit in the particular age-groups that need to get a mammogram. She also urged them to not only stick to the month of October, as breast cancer awareness month but help spread the message for this important cause all throughout the year.

The health minister also stated that now women will have the opportunity to get this service from two mobile monographies that will move in the entire country, not only in the capital or regional hospitals.
