Civil Society and citizens are protesting against increased prices for the second day in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Citizens call on institutions to lower the taxes as well as prices, as the increase is unaffordable.
“Every month, in the house of an elderly there will be a lack of health care, as that money will go to basic food”, appealed a citizen.
Chanting “lower the taxes” and “you can’t tax hunger”, protestors state their rally is not only intended to prices but also to restore meritocracy and equal opportunities among all citizens.
One week ago, citizens took the streets to protest for the same cause with several citizens and public figures urging more people to join and demand their rights by raising their voices.
The Democratic Party also joined the protest, while its leader Lulzim Basha has earlier declared that it will support all forms of civil resistance against the government.
