The leader of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha has discharged Flamur Noka from his functions as the deputy head of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security and warned to expel him from the Democrat’s parliamentary group.

Basha accused Noka of transforming the party’s presidency meeting into a “lie producing factory in order to throw dirt on the leader and the Democratic Party by inventing unattested and false discussions”.

He also added that his approach is damaging to the interests of the DP and “shift the attention from the main opponent, which is Albania’s and the Albanian people’s enemy, Edi Rama”.

Noka is one of the MP that has endorsed former PM Sali Berisha after he was ousted from the DP’s parliamentary group and accused Basha that his decision was motivated by personal reasons.

Basha and Noka have clashed several times during party meetings.
