Professor at the Faculty of Economy, Gentian Shaqiri told Euronews Albania that there’s a dire need to come up with a better strategy when it comes to getting university students to get vaccinated.
“It hasn’t proved to be the right method to convince them. We need a communication strategy, especially when speaking to students. The word ‘mandatory’ is too commanding and give off an adversary effect to the human psyche,” – said Shaqiri.
In addition, professor Shaqiri stated that there’s a clear hesitation from students to vaccinate.
“I hope we come to a concrete decision. We shouldn’t favor those that are vaccinated over those that aren’t. Everyone has the right to education,” – added the professor.
According to Shaqiri, the Ministry of Education as well as the Council of Deans have to come up with a decision that reflects reality, at the same time that it preserves the right balances.
