This Sunday, the city of Tirana is hosting the 5th edition of the Tirana Marathon 2021, where around 2500 runners from different corners of the world will come together, under a common cause: Run with Refugees.
In order to ensure the success and accessibility of this event organized by the Tirana’s City Hall, several main road axes in the city will be closed starting from 07:00 – 17: 00.
The following axes will be closed off to motor vehicles and other modes of transit:
‘Mother Theresa’ square continuing on to the ‘Deshmoret e Kombit’ boulevard, ‘Gjergj Filipi’ road, ‘Papa Gjon Pali II’ road’, ‘Ismail Qemali’ road, Blvd. “Bajram Curri”, intersection of Elbasan Road, “George W. Bush” road, “Abdi Toptani” road, Blvd. “Zog I”, New Blvd., “Ded Gjo Luli” road, Durres Road, Kavaja Road, “Myslym Shyri” road, Blvd. “Zhan D’Ark”, from the intersection at the bridge facing Tirana’s District Court all the way to the Taiwan bridge, Blvd. Bajram Curri, Ibrahim Rugova road and Lek Dukagjini road, with the exception of emergency vehicles and Police Forces.
