The chair of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, said during a press conference that the party has secured victory 5 municipalities, without having to face a runoff.

Krasniqi added that a second round of ballots will be necessary in 7 municipalities.

“Based on data, PDK has won without a runoff in Mitrovica, Ferizaj, Skenderaj, Kacanik and Han i Elezit. We will stand a runoff, and having confidence in our citizens, we will Prizren, Drenas, Vushtrri, Shtime, Dragash, Malisheva, and Klina, too”, he declared.

He hailed the results at the local polls as “extraordinary”, in what he described as a “return to good governance in Kosovo”.
