Winner determined in 17 municipalities, remaining to face election runoff

Political parties have come out victorious in 17 municipalities, while an election runoff will be held in 21 municipalities as none of the candidates passed the necessary 50% +1 vote threshold.

According to preliminary results provided by the Central Election Commission, the Serb List won 9 municipalities, The Democratic Party of Kosovo won 5, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo won 3 and the Democratic League of Kosovo won 2. Meanwhile the ruling majority, Vetevendosje has not been able to establish a clear victory in any of the municipalities during the first round.

The municipalities where the winners have already been announced are as follow: Peja (LDK), Ferizaj (PDK), Deçan (AAK), Kaçanik (PDK), South Mitrovica (PDK), Lipjan (LDK), Suhareka (AAK), Leposavic (Lista Serbe), Skenderaj (PDK), Novobërda (Serb List), Rahovec (AAK), Shtërpca (Lista Serbe), Zubin Potoku (Serb List), Zveçani (Serb List), Hani i Elezit (PDK), Graçanica (Serb List), Ranillugu (Serb List), Parteshi (Serb List), dhe North Mitrovica (Serb List).

Election runoff is due in: Gjakova (AAK-LVV), Gjilan (LVV-LDK), Dragash (PDK-LDK), Klina (AAK-PDK), Kamenica (PSD-LVV), Podujeva (LVV-LDK), Prishtina (LVV-LDK), Prizreni (LVV-PDK), Vitija (LDK-LVV), Vushtrria (PDK-LDK), Malisheva (Nisma-PDK), Juniku (AAK-LDK) and Mamusha (KDTP-KATP), Gllogovc (PDK-DD), Kllokoti (Lista Serbe-GI SNS), Istog (LDK-AAK) dhe Shtime (PDK-LVV).
