The EU Ambassador to Albania, Luigi Soreca, said for Euronews Albania that he still hasn’t read the proposal made by the opposition over vetting politicians, amending the territorial map and Electoral Code.

“Now the opposition has returned to parliament, it will be discussed between the majority and the opposition”, declared Ambassador Soreca.

Asked if cooperation would continue in a scenario that would see Berisha restored as the leader of the Democratic Party, the Ambassador responded that the EU is “always willing to cooperate”, reported Euronews Albania journalist Xhensil Shkembi.

In regards to the controversial Media Agency, Soreca maintained that one of the key roles media has is to participate in all activities organized by various institutions.

Ambassador Soreca participated in an activity held in Korca alongside local leaders in the southeastern part of the country, as well as from North Macedonia.
