The director of OSHEE, the company responsible for operating, maintaining, and distributing electricity in Albania, vowed that the price of energy will not rise at least until 1 January 2022.
The parliamentary committee on foreign affairs summoned Ardian Çela, OSHEE’s director, over details on the utilization of a €70 million loan from EBRD.
“It is divided into two parts, €55 million will serve to cover the import and the negative financial impact of 2020 and €15 million are to build a substation at the center of Tirana”, Çela said.
A debate between Socialist and Democrat MPs rose during the session over the crisis and mounting debts in this sector.
