The Democratic Party will deposit to the Assembly on Tuesday its proposal to cut down Value Added Tax (VAT) from 20% to 6%.
The decision was taken by DP’s parliamentary group at a time when the country is facing a general hike in prices.
The DP is set to propose slashing VAT from 20% to 6 % for prices in the basket of goods, Euronews Albania learned from sources.
DP’s leader Lulzim Basha announced the initiative around two weeks ago, adding that it also displays how prepared the opposition is to govern the country.
“We will not only send a request or a piece of paper, but comprehensive calculations on how it can be achieved also”, declared Basha during a press conference.
