The Democratic Union for Integration (BDI) is involved in criminal affairs and must be ousted from power, declared the General Secretary of the Alliance for Albanians.

Arben Taravari, at the same time the mayor of Gostivar, said during an interview on Balkan Talks that the BDI has “contaminated” every institution in North Macedonia.

“I have no grudge against the BDI. It’s been in power for over 20 years. Image 20 years. Even if everything would have gone great, I still think it’s a very long time”, Taravari said.

According to him, political parties are exerting immense pressure on the police department, while also blaming BDI for constantly buying off votes. Under these circumstances, we cannot say that the BDI won the elections, claimed Taravari.

According to his forecast, the runoff will be easy and broader political consultations will not be necessary.
