The Independent Qualification Commission discharged on Thursday Shkodra Prosecutor Ermir Lelci for failing to pass two out of the three main criteria, wealth and professional ethic.

His discharge contributes even further to the void created in the judicial system.

Ermil Lelci joined the justice system in the year 2000, as a judicial police officer.

In 2004 he was appointed prosecutor in Shkodra.

Lelci could not justify how he had come to purchase an apartment in Shkodra.

The Independent Qualification Commission also pointed to several ethical pertaining to cases where there was a conflict of interest.

In July, the High Prosecutorial Council approved professional skills reports for several prosecutors, including Ermir Lelci, prosecutor near the First Instance Court of Shkodra.
