Analyst Andi Bushati said on tonight’s ‘Shock’ that US ambassador, Yuri Kim is trying to fabricate the idea that now, there is a sense of complete dialogue between SP and DP and that this, according to him, will ultimately serve PM Rama to ‘reign by dividing the Democratic Party even further’.

Bushati continued by saying that there is an explanation as to “why the ambassador is trying to create this cliché image of pseudo-peace at a time when SP and DP are actually at war”.

“After winning the elections, Rama said that during this term, he will extend his hand to the opposition. The cliches that Yuri Kim is spreading around are simply an extension of what Rama said then and it is clear that what he said actually came true,” – said Bushati.

According to Bushati, “the opposition is faced with a great challenge because it is divided”.

In addition, the analyst said that by showing Basha’s MPs standing side by side with the Socialist MPs, the US ambassador is trying to delegitimize them because the main accusation made by opposing figures within the DP is that they’ve entered an unspoken pact with Rama”.

According to analyst, Baton Haxhiu, the photos of the US ambassador with representatives of SP and DP are “a moment of civility for Albania, which we get to see very rarely”.

Haxhiu also emphasized that the main goal of these meetings is to bypass Berisha.

“The ambassador is trying to say that these are the two main political forces in our country and that whatever happens outside of the Parliament is unnecessary populism. This way, she is trying to legitimize DP and bypass Berisha,” – said Haxhiu.
