President Vjosa Osmani declared that Serbia is not interested in reaching an agreement that would include reciprocal recognition with Kosovo.
According to her, Serbia is dragging the agreement in order to destabilize the region.
“Serbia sees countries that are not in the EU as temporary ones, something that it can destroy. This implies that there will be several destabilization attempts”, declared Osmani, while a part of a panel organized by the School of Advanced International Studies at the John Hopkins University in Washington.
According to Osmani, Serbia is abusing the dialogue process, meanwhile telling countries that are at a far distance from the Balkans to not recognize Kosovo as “its status is still being negotiated”.
Earlier on, PM Albin Kurti declared that Prishtina has not been avoiding the establishment of the Association of Serb Municipalities, but it is the Constitution that does not allow an association that is formed on an ethnic basis, adding that Belgrade is “playing a dangerous game in the region”.
