Starting from November 15, in order to enter any kind of venue, be it closed spaces or outdoors, citizens of North Macedonia have to provide proof of full vaccination (having taken both anti-COVID shots).

In addition, citizens will also have the option of presenting proof that they’ve successfully recovered from a COVID infection in the last 45 days, which includes the days of recovery.

This decision was presented during the plenum held on October 26.

The Ministry of Health called on all citizens to respect these measures and be responsible, while also appealing to all those that haven’t been inoculated yet, to get their vaccines as soon as possible, because this is the only way for them to acquire collective immunity.

The Macedonian Government has also approved more alleviated measures in regards to large gatherings, which include things like seminars, training, courses, etc. that will now be allowed, although they will only be able to use 50% of the venue’s usual capacity.

The new government ruling will also allow businesses like bars, nightclubs, and hotels to operate through 50% of their usual capacity.

Meanwhile, there will be no changes in terms of the measures required in border crossings, where citizens will continue to present their vaccination certificates upon entering or leaving the country, or proof that they’ve recovered from COVID in the last 45 days or a PCR test taken in the last 72 hours.

Citizens that are only transiting through North Macedonia are exempt from the above-mentioned regulations.
