Seven citizens have died from COVID-19 over the course of the last 24 hours, while 194 tested positive.

Authorities confirm that 190 people recovered from the virus on Monday, taking the official toll to 181,839.

Currently, there are 8,433 active cases in Albania, of which 172 are being treated at the hospital.

The Ministry of Health appealed on all citizens to get the jab in order to prevent severe symptoms and rising hospitalizations. In Albania, all citizens older than 16 can get the COVID-19 vaccine, while +65 citizens are eligible for booster shots

The official death toll from COVID-19 is 2,997.
