Fatbardh Kadilli, a former candidate for DP’s leadership, said on tonight’s Now with Erla Mehilli that the separate paths chosen from former PM Sali Berisha and DP’s leader Lulzim Basha are “contributing to split the Democratic Party into two pieces”.
According to Kadilli, Basha should have either sought a motion of confidence or retired, in wake of the situation in which the Democrats find themselves today.
On the other hand, Kadilli said that Berisha is eyeing the party’s leadership, which in his words is “immoral”.
“If we draw a comparison between the two, Berisha is right. For Democrats, none of them is right. Both are unscrupulously tearing apart the DP so that each of them can get a piece. This doesn’t fall in the interests of Democrats or citizens. We will no longer have a single Democratic Party, but Basha’s party and Berisha’s party, one Assembly belonging to Basha and one to Berisha. But none of these will be the Democratic Party”, concluded Kadilli.
