Everything started after Salianji sarcastically asked Brace: “Are you that deputy prime minister which surfaces in the wiretap recordings of the Italian prosecution on Taci”?
Reportedly, Brace did not take the question well and gave Salianji the finger.
Shortly after, the Democrat MP stepped down from the podium and headed toward Brace only to be stopped by the Republican Guard, avoiding a likely physical confrontation.
On Friday, SPAK issued an arrest warrant for businessman Rezart Taci, and arrested two of his associates, over their alleged involvement in money laundering schemes concealed by oil businesses.
Investigations carried by SPAK and the Italian Antimafia Investigation Directorate revealed that the fraudulent scheme was being headed by two Italian citizens who were collaborating with the Albanian businessman to legitimize wealth generated by criminal activities.
The two Albanian citizens arrested were making financial transactions through a second-level bank in Albania.
