The government’s ambition is to have the salaries of medical staff go up by 40% within the third term, said Rama during a recent public statement.
According to PM Rama along with this rise, what will have a greater impact will be each physician’s personal contribution, based on which they will be rewarded.
“Doctors shouldn’t all be paid the same. They should receive bonuses on top of their base salary,” – said Rama.
During a presentation of the 2022 state budget dedicating $360 million dollars to healthcare, the minister of health declared that there will be a 6% rise in the salaries of all medical personnel.
Next year’s health budget will also include projects that involve the modernization of hospital infrastructure as well as assistance programs for mental health issues.
