The former Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti considers the removal of the reciprocity measure by the new administration as “denial of Kosovo’s independence”.
Kurti stated on Twitter that Kosovo has never been a barrier of the dialogue with Serbia.
#Kosova was never an obstacle to the dialogue & this was proven with the removal of the 100% tariff.
Reciprocity means equality. Denying it means denying our declaration of independence as a sovereign state which no leader in Kosova has the right to do.— Albin Kurti (@albinkurti) June 6, 2020
The comments made by the leader of Self Determination came a few hours after the Hoti government decided to lift the reciprocity measure in trade relations with Serbia.
On Facebook, Kurti called the Democratic League of Kosovo as “an illegitimate government working on Serbian priorities”, whereas PM Hoti referred to the measure as “a barrier for the dialogue with Serbia”.
