The US Embassy organized on Tuesday an event on the fifth year anniversary of the implementation of the justice reform in Albania where it commended the achievements it had achieved so far.

In light of the event, analyst Andi Bushati said on “Shock” that the US Embassy is acting like “the propaganda office of the prime minister”.

According to Bushati, the justice system “has failed” as its institutions mainly serve the government’s interests.

“La crème de la crème of the justice reform is SPAK and the Special Prosecution, who are mere servants of the regime and these are the people which Yuri Kim is defending”, said Bushati.

To him, commending the achievements of the justice reform is “to mock the Albanian people” and listed several important cases that remain in shadow.

“They closed cases on concessions, the patrons and the stolen elections, and the Embassy still hails the main actors of this process”, he said.

According to Baton Haxhiu, the justice system needs more time to adjust and cannot be built based on idealisms.
