10 families isolated in Diber, Defense Ministry reports on bad weather conditions

Heavy rainfall has been persistent across the entire country for the past two days now, creating issues in many districts in both the northern and southern-most regions.

The Ministry of Defense has forwarded reports of the civil emergency data centers, which give an overview of the issues present around the country due to bad weather conditions.

At this point, the most concerning is the area known as Ura e Maqedonasit in the municipality of Rrogozhina, where the Shkumbin River has experienced heavy floods causing it to overflow its banks.

In the road axis, Tamar-Qafe e Berdalecit, in the district of Shkoder, there have been several landslides and incidents of falling rocks. In the road axis Librazhd-Zgosht, there have also been incidents of rocks falling into the main road.

In Vinjoll village in Diber, the Ura e Kaces has been damaged due to the intensity of the river flow. Around 10 families have been isolated and are unable to communicate with the center of the village or the administrative division.

As a result of heavy rains, there have been issues with the water spring of Gurra in the administrative division of Shushica, in Elbasan as well as the Shkumbin River overflowing its banks in Malasej, where at least 1 hectares of agricultural land is currently underwater.

Civil emergency authorities have also reported additional issues in Tirana, where as a result of heavy rainfall, parts of the rd. ‘5 Maji’ have been soaked, putting several residential buildings are risk of floods.
