Seven people allegedly involved in crimes against civilians which took place from 1992 to 1995 have been arrested in Bosnia and Herzegovina, authorities confirm.

The group was caught in the country’s eastern towns of Bijeljina and Sokolac, according to AP.

No further information has been released so far, while the Prosecution has taken over the case to carry on with the investigation.

More than 100,000 were killed during the Bosnian War, mainly Muslim Bosniaks, Serbs, and Croats.

The war ended after the signing of the Dayton Agreement on 21 November 1995, brokered by the United States, which led to the creation of two entities, Republic Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
