73 kg and 400 grams divided into 61 packages were found yesterday in Korca. Gjergj Mollanji – the person who was found carrying the drugs, was immediately arrested.

The ‘Restart’ police operation has been responsible for the seizure of 187 kg and 400 grams of cannabis so far, and 5 arrests. This is the same operation behind the arrest of an attorney in Gorica last month.

According to the district police, the narcotics were being trafficked across the border to Greece.

Mollanji was driving a ‘Mazda’, at the moment he was stopped and after a thorough search, the officers were able to find the drugs and make the arrest.

The case was passed on to the District Prosecution of Korca, where the defendants will be tried on charges of ‘Narcotics Trafficking’.
