The Ambassadors of the US, EU, Germany, France, Italy, and the UK are expected to arrive at the headquarters of the Democratic Party where they will meet with Lulzim Basha.
The meeting comes a day after heightened tensions at the DP as former PM Sali Berisha and his supporters entered the party’s headquarters to hold a meeting for the reformation of the DP.
On Monday, Berisha declared to hold a referendum among the members of the presidency to discharge Lulzim Basha as the party’s leader.
The former prime minister claimed that armed people had threatened the members of the youth forum.
On the other hand, Basha accused referred to Berisha as “an ex-communist” that is doing everything “to protect his personal interests on the back of the party”.
