Tirana’s District Police ordered the arrest of Orges Drazhni, a friend of 29-year-old, Jurgen Duka who was shot and killed yesterday, in a convenience store in the capital city.
The 36-year-old was arrested on charges of ‘withholding information about a crime’ because it was proved that he was present at the crime scene.
Sources tell Euronews Albania that in the beginning, Drazhi had in fact been the primary suspect for the murder of Jurgen Duka.
The tragic incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning, at Rd. ‘Irfan Tomini’ in the capital city.
Jurgen Duka is thought to have been highly intoxicated when he entered the store accompanied by a friend, and after a heated debate with officer Arber Sula, during which insults were exchanged, the latter shot Duka, who died in hospital shortly after.
Police records have confirmed that the victim had a previous precedent and criminal history, although no further information was given in terms of what that may have been.
