The referendum to discharge Lulzim Basha kicked off at 8 AM. Organized by the Re-Establishment Group of the Democratic Party, it seeks to remove Basha as the party’s leader.

Voting is expected to wrap up by 5 PM.

106 voting centers were set up across the country, of which 22 in Tirana.

Members have to present their membership card and an ID in order to vote. People that do not have a membership card, but have their name on the list can vote with an  ID.

The Re-Establishment Commission created the Commission for the Organization and Control of Electoral Operations, tasked to lead the process, chaired by Albana Vokshi.
