Prime Minister Edi Rama revealed on Friday a government decision that will bring to life an initiative called National Council for Albania.

The head of the executive explained that Albanian citizens will be handed a questionnaire in order to have their intake on important matters in the country.

“This government initiative comes on the brink of a new year and new opportunities. Through the questionnaire that we will put at the disposal of all Albanians, be that in the country or abroad, we will bring to life a popular assembly to attract their opinion on issues of strategic importance for the country, economy and our society”, said PM Rama.

“More than ever, the time has come to leave behind political quarrels and think about the things that unite us beyond those that separate us so to make an important leap forward by consulting with each other”, he added.

He revealed that some of the topics to be discussed are Open Balkan and negotiations with the European Union.
