Cars will no longer be subject to physical checkups every time drivers change their ownership.
The news was announced by PM Edi Rama, who made a post on Facebook writing that “As the state takes over the administration of the Technical Control Agency, which was previously a concession, the Certificate of Technical Control of DPSHTRR will unequivocally lift the requirement for a physical checkup of the vehicle, when its owner changes’.
“Thus, we will be eliminating 60 thousand physical checks for vehicles per year. We are saving citizens 90.000.000 ALL and 30.000 hours a year,” – said PM Rama.
Starting from January 1, the Technical Control Services for all vehicles will be provided by the General Directory of Services for the Road Transport (DPSHTRR).
