The head of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group Taulant Balla said that Sali Berisha must be out of the parliament and face justice in 2022.

In a press conference, Balla declared that Berisha needs to permanently leave politics and the parliament.

According to him, a person who has severely undermined national interest, in addition to being blacklisted by the US, needs to be ousted from the political arena.

“2022 is a very important year that will convene the first Intergovernmental Conference, and veto against North Macedonia could be lifted, so I think that politicians that have harmed Albania shouldn’t be in the Assembly. People who have been designated by the US for being involved in high-level corruption need to face justice and be out of politics in 2022”, Balla said.

He also declared that a new commission for the electoral reform will be set up in the new plenary session. The head of SP’s parliamentary group reiterated to have reached an agreement with the opposition on the topics to be covered by this commission.
