The deadline set by DP’s Commission of Refoundation for the current DP leader, Lulzim Basha, to announce his official resignation ends tomorrow.
The head of the Commission has forwarded the request to Basha, detailing the requirements and conditions for his retreat from DP’s headquarters set to take place on January 5.
In the document signed by supporters of Berisha, it states that in the likely case that Basha doesn’t obey this order, members of the Democratic Party will be forced to turn into ‘public executors’.
Basha has openly stated that he doesn’t recognize any of the decisions made by the Refoundation Commission or the camp of Democrats that has sided with Berisha.
In addition, he has also stated that the Democratic Party is braced for anything and prepared for all possible scenarios.
Recently, the party’s central headquarters in Tirana, have been undergoing a reconstruction process, which Berisha and his supporters have called a ‘process of armoring’, even though sources near the Democratic Party have announced that these changes to the building’s façade are related to the need for adding extra office spaces and secretariates, which have become necessary as the party progresses forward.
