President Ilir Meta wrote a public message on his social networks commenting on the serious incident that shocked one of the capital’s neighborhood last night, saying that criminal gangs are posing a challenge to the government.
“I fundamentally condemn the criminal scenes that have taken place these past couple of days in several cities across the country, especially the fatal incident at Don Bosko, in Tirana, that happened last night and ended up with the death of a citizen and injury of several others,” – wrote the president.
According to Meta, the murder and injury of 4 others came as a result of a series of other criminal acts that have remained unsolved and whose culprits have never faced justice.
Meta condemned these acts while calling on the State Police and all other law enforcement agencies to enhance their efforts and improve cooperation so that similar incidents can be prevented in the future.
