Supporters of the former leader of the Democratic Party have arrived at the party’s headquarters.

Some of the members of the Refoundation Commission had already warned the move.

The door was shut at the moment of their arrival, while Aldo Bumci said that the party’s doors have always been opened, even during the 1997 turmoil.

“We came here together with Strazimiri, Kaso, and some executives from the branches in Tirana as we had a meeting scheduled. There is no other place to hold the meeting, other than our home, the Democratic Party. But this has turned now into a bunker. This party has never had its doors shot in the past 30 years”, said Bumci, adding that Basha has closed the doors to protect his seat.

This is the second day in a row that members of this commission find DP’s doors locked.

In a statement released to the press it has been said that the party’s building has been closed due to some construction work.
