Minister of Justice Ulsi Manja praised the way the State Police acted during today’s protest in front of the building of the Democratic Party.
Manja, appointed by PM Edi Rama in his third term in office, said that the situation created today was “unheard of in the entire political history of the planet”.
“It has never occurred that a political party turns into a war arena using medieval means among two sides radicalized into extremes never seen before. The State Police surpassed this challenge with high professional integrity in face of complete irresponsibility by the two sides involved in this conflict”, said the justice minister.
Manja then reiterated “unlimited support” for the prosecution and the police in order to bring in front of the justice the people responsible for the unrest.
“We call on the parties to restrain themselves from obstructing law enforcement bodies to do their job”, the minister concluded.
