Deputy chair of the Democratic Party, Enkelejd Alibeaj gave a press statement today during which he condemned the decision of Tirana’s District Court to release the 4 citizens arrested in connection to the data leak scandal, which included the publication of personal financial information, including the salaries of over 600 thousand citizens.
Alibeaj said that today’s ruling is clear evidence that ‘Rama is protecting his own crime and theft of the last general elections. It shows that segments of our judicial are serving his administration in order to keep on stealing”.
“Today’s verdict of [Tirana’s District] Court is clear evidence that the authors of the data leak, including the leaked Patrons’ database are working for the prime minister and his subordinates. There is no other judicial or logical explanation as to why this court decision can justify the release of the 4 individuals connected to this crime, apart from the fact that it was obeying Edi Rama,’ – said Alibeaj.
“Information regarding ID, workplace, phone number, citizens’ personal salaries were all stolen so that the elections could be robbed! They are all part of the criminal scheme of patronage that surrounds the theft of April 25’s elections, which only serves the personal power of a single human being, Edi Rama,” – continued Alibeaj.
