Young Democrats who are part of DP’s Youth Forum (FRPD) went to the party’s headquarters earlier today, to give another statement for the press. Minushe Lazaj, member of DP’s National Council said that she has been giving her contribution to DP since she was 15 years old, and today, like many other Democrats, she isn’t being allowed to enter the party’s headquarters.

Lazaj accused the police of acting on a double standard, and not responding to the denouncements made by the head of FRPD, some time ago, about their office being broken in while reacting within seconds, to Basha’s plead for help.

According to Lazaj, DP’s chair, Lulzim Basha should call for a popular vote if he wishes to continue as leader because the majority of members have already voted for his dismissal.

“If Basha still has any doubts about the overwhelming majority of members who voted for his dismissal, let him call for a popular vote. What does Lulzim Basha fear? If he wins, we’re all behind him, if he loses, he should go. DP isn’t private property, it’s formed by the party’s membership, not the leader, whose position can change in a single day,” – said Lazaj.
