The Secretary for Foreign Affairs Gentian Gaba got into a debate on “Good Morning” with Minushe Lazaj, a member of DP’s National Council, over the recent developments at the party.
Gaba said that Sali Berisha brought a “violent and lousy minority” which attacked the party’s headquarters.
“It’s a minority that doesn’t represent the DP. If someone holds a majority, they do not need to escalate to violence. They were not Democrats, they were people who were paid to do what they did”, said Gaba.
In regards to the decision to expel Berisha from the Democratic Party, he declared that it is wrong to associate with people who are blacklisted by the US.

“Perhaps it is better not to get back with some people. Berisha should have stepped down as a hero when the time was right. He shouldn’t destroy the Democratic Party for his own personal problems. If he takes over the party’s leadership, the US will cut off ties”, he said.
She underlined the importance of in rebuilding the party, adding that everyone should feel free to compete in the race for the party’s executive post.
“Get out of the base, from the bunker you’ve created, and watch how many people vote you”, said Lazaj.
