Anti-COVIVD measures in our country won’t change despite the fact that this week has marked a peak of new infections in the last 2 years.
The decision was announced today by the Committee of Experts, which met this Thursday in order to assess the current epidemiologic situation in our country.
The Committee chair, Mira Rakacolli declared that the level of provisional measures is in compliance with all epidemiologic developments in the country, which is why no changes will be applied to the current set of restrictions.
Earlier, deputy minister of health, Eugena Tomini, informed the public that over the last two weeks, infections in our country reached their peak in terms of the entire pandemic.
This, according to her, explains the circulation of new COVID-19 variants in our country and it is also a reflection of the lack of compliance with the restrictions imposed by the committee to curb the spread of the virus.
Over the past 2 days, a total of 4.000 new cases were registered in our country – a number that has been difficult to come across since the beginning of the pandemic in our country.
Anti-COVID measures in our country include a police curfew from 23:00 CET to 06: 00 AM, the use of masks in indoor spaces, and limiting large gatherings to up to 50 people.
