11 parties have submitted a request at the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) to participate in the upcoming by-elections on March 6.
The only confirmed coalition so far is the one between SMI, several other smaller parties, and Berisha’s DP faction.
January 31 is the last deadline for parties to register for the local by-elections.
CEC has 24 hours to return these submissions if they see a lack of paperwork or other discrepancies before they ultimately approve their participation in the upcoming elections.
The Electoral Code foresees that all registered subjects should submit a request within 24 hours if they wish to participate in the elections as a coalition.
