President Ilir Meta has refused to reveal the names of ambassadors who according to him have behaved inappropriately by interfering and using their influence to protect individuals who have broken the law.

When asked by Euronews Albania about this claim, the head of state said that when it comes to his personal experience with the international community, they have all acted accordingly.

“I’m not here to speak about my own relations with internationals, nor am I here to complain about anyone’s behavior towards me as a president because I can assure you that they have been excellent. Everything has been well-documented and constructive,” – said Meta.

In addition, when asked about his response to the questions posed by the Constitutional Court, Meta said that if there are any doubts, the court will be provided with all the supplementary documentation.

“When it comes to the questions asked by the Constitutional Court, I have already provided my answers. If your concerns come as a result of the Parliament’s claims, I have already responded but if your concerns are related to claims made by any of our partners, please let me know because then I will give you all the supplementary documentation. I have already submitted all my documents and materials to members of the Constitutional Court, since July of last year,” – concluded Meta.
