The Presidency has announced that it will be depositing a lawsuit against the Albanian Parliament, after accusing them of allegedly forging legal documents during procedures for his impeachment.

President Meta also pointed out that he will be depositing his claims at the Special Prosecution, Tirana’s District Prosecution, and the General Prosecution.

“This crime of falsification has been more than flagrant. It’s the first time that it ever takes place during a public hearing at the Constitutional Court by none other than the Albanian Parliament against the President of the country,” – said Meta.

“The very foundations of our Republic have been shattered. These are the efforts to instill a coupe against the head of state. In order to get the president impeached, they have gone as far as falsifying documents in the Constitutional Court,” – he added.

Meta’s personal advisor Bledar Devishaj, also declared that a series of manipulations conducted by members of Parliament have been identified in several administrative acts.
