The Central Election Commission (CEC) is seeking further clarifications on one of the candidates presented by the Democratic Party for the by-elections due on March 6.

Sources near the Prosecution Office confirmed that the decriminalization unit will carry out an investigation on Ferdinand Saraci, DP’s nominee for the municipality of Rrogozhina.

The by-election kicked off on Sunday for six municipalities, Durres, Shkodra, Diber, Vora, Lushnje and Rrogozhina.

In total, 18 candidates will compete for the mayor’s office.
