Russian President Vladimir Putin authorized a military attack against Ukraine in the early hours of Thursday, February 24, saying that the only objective is to demilitarize Russia’s southern neighbor.
“I’ve decided to carry out a military operation. Its goal is to protect people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide… for the last eight years. And for this we will strive for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine”, Putin said.
Putin warned that any interference by other countries would lead to “consequences you have never seen”
