3 Albanian citizens are currently stranded in Ukraine after their flights got canceled due to Russia’s attacks.

The minister of foreign affairs, Olta Xhacka, declared that the 3 Albanians have been told to get out of Ukraine by land and cross the Ukrainian border with Poland or Romania.

In addition, Xhacka said that the Albanian embassies in both of these countries will be readily available to help them once they are able to enter into their soil.

The Albanian MFA also announced that 5 Albanian nationals who are currently working for the OSCE/ODHIR mission in Ukraine, are in constant communication with Albanian authorities.

Russia attacked Ukraine in the early hours of Thursday

The Ukrainian ambassador to Tirana, Volodymyr Shkurov, declared that so far, upwards of 40 Ukrainian soldiers are said to have lost their lives along with dozens of civilians.

Shkurov also underlined that amongst the civilian victims, 2 are children.
