Edison Memolla, the Socialist Party’s candidate in Rrogozhina, won the mayoral race.
Memolla received 5,438 votes, leaving behind Ferdinand Saraçi (1966 votes) and Hekuran Xhani (1550).
Out of the 32,000 eligible voters in the municipality, some 9,183 headed to the polling stations on Sunday.
Rrogozhina went to the polls after its mayor died of a sudden heart attack in 2020.
Electoral turnout at the general polls was at 34.77%.
The annual budget allocated to the municipality located in Albania’s Western Lowlands is estimated at around €4 million.
