DP’s faction for the reestablishment of the Democratic Party has reacted following remarks that both Berisha and Basha must renounce claims from the party’s leadership.
In their statement, they claim that Basha stands behind this effort, as he tries to drag Berisha into his own failure.
“The parliamentary group and Democrats are not standing today in front of a Basha or Berisha dilemma. 70% of Democrats voted for the candidates of the House of Freedom on March 6, meanwhile, the DP led by Basha ranked third in 30 years”, the statement read.
In addition, they claim to support the unification of the Democratic Party, but this can only be achieved by fair voting.
“Every Democrat needs to understand that bans and absence of free voting are the death of a political force! Victory does not come by becoming someone’s puppet but through unification. And that can only be achieved upon one condition: Free vote”, the statement concluded.
