This map shows the regions of Ukraine that have been seized by the Russian military so far, since the beginning of the so-called ‘special military operation’ ordered by president Putin on Feb 24.
“Just about all of Russia’s advances into Ukraine remain blocked, but airstrikes have continued throughout the entire territory,” – said a high US defense official during a press briefing that took place on Monday.
A peace agreement between the two delegations of Kyiv and Moscow has yet to be reached.
Meanwhile, three European leaders are set to visit Kyiv later today, namely PM Mateusz Morawiecky, deputy PM Jarosław Kaczyński, the Czech PM Petr Fiala and Sllovenina PM Janez Jansha.
They will be meeting with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky and PM Denis Shmyhal.
