Consultations for the election of the new President of the Republic have already started, Taulant Balla confirmed on Monday.
The Socialist Party will lead the process as it holds a parliamentary majority.
SP’s parliamentary group mandated its chair, Taulant Balla, Elisa Spiropali, and Damian Gjiknuri to carry out the process after its weekly meeting on Monday, attended also by PM Edi Rama.
Usually, the meeting consists of a recap of the plenary session, as well as the successive one.
However, PM Rama’s presence may insinuate government changes.
